I would like to know what the best preventative measures I can take to prevent a Blazer switch leak is . My switch just started leaking (again) today . It shot fine throughout the weekend at a 26 hour event (other than the occasional LP reg adjustment that had to be made due to CO2 pressure spikes ) . I haven't run the Blazer underwater yet to clean it out , which will be done shortly . Hopefully a cleaning is all it needs . I put 3-5 drops of oil in the ASA every time I air it up to shoot it . It's an old 1K Blazer ,(BZ360) that I'm sure the Palmer crew has become familiar with by now , that recently just had a leaking switch fixed . This isn't the first time , but I want to know of everything I can do to prevent this , and what I can do without taking it apart if a leak does happen before I send it in . BTW - the leak is coming out from the front of the grip frame this time .

Most switch leaks are caused by the ram.. If the ram o-ring gets worn out, dirty, or chewed up, then the air will leak out of the 4-way.

So, check/rebuild the ram, then if that doesn’t work move on to the 4-way.

We also have slightly bigger 4-way o-rings for blazers that don't like cold temps.

After rinsing out the Blazer with water and oiling it up again , the leak stopped . Thanks for the advice about the ram , that is something I would probably never see or guess on causing problems with the 4way .
