The foregrip that comes with the A5 is pathetic and small. It doesn't fit the hand comfortably, and with a male stabilizer installed, there isn't much room anyway.

So...

I took the foregrip off, installed a DOP vertical adapter that moves the stabilizer forward...

Would PPS consider making a vented shroud or cover that would fit over the regulator?

I envision something that would either clamp down around the regulator, or it would screw into the ASA... If it screwed into the ASA, then the male regulator would screw into the shroud... so the shroud would have a sort of "pass through"....

Design is flexible...the ultimate goal is to create a comfortable good sized hand grip (at least 4.5 inches long in the finger area or more) that fits over the palmer's stabilizer/regulator.

I also mention a cover as an option... perhaps a neoprene sleeve could be made to fit over the regulator, but I don't know what affect that sort of insulation might have on the regulator's performance.

The best covers that I've seen used on the Stabilizer is foam motorcycle grips. They come in varying sizes and are available at most any motorcycle shop. Commonly used on off-road bikes.

Have also seem some foam grips for bycycles slid onto the bottom section of the Stabilizer that look and work quite well.

It isn't the sort of thing that we would go into a development/R&D program on as there has been verry little call for it and there is already numerous alternatives, like mentioned above.

That's cool....that at least gives me an idea to work with. I wonder if no one has asked about it because they didn't think it was possible.

Does this response imply that you don't forsee any thermal related problems by putting an insulator/grip over the regulator?

Depending on how much motorcycle grips cost, would you be interested in selling them if we could find the one that "fits the best" with the least modification? Perhaps you wouldn't need to R&D to sell a modified motorcycle grip....

Don't they sell them in pairs? You could buy pairs, and sell singles for a price between a single and a pair.... might be worthwhile if there is enough interest out there. Do you mind if I ask around and see if anyone else is interested in covering their regulator?

No thermal issues at all. It is a mechanical regulator on an expansion chamber.

If you find someone else that wants to cover their reg, you'll have no problem getting rid of the extra grip. :idea1:

Too many different styles of grips available for us to pick one that would fit the varying desires of individuals. .:dontknow: Just not the sort of thing we get into.

Roger that. I was thinking they could have it in any color and style as long as it was plain & black. Heheh.

In the first couple of hours of posting the interest thread people are showing some interest in covering their regulator.
